sensors-detect

Hallo

Ich habe das MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum Mainboard und möchte mir gerne meine CPU Temps, System Temp, usw. anzeigen lassen.

Nun habe ich gelesen, dass ich dazu lmsensors benötige. (Auch bei Kernel 2.6.8-24.16 ?)

Also habe ich mir lmsensors runtergeladen.

Muss ich das erst installieren und dann sensors-detect durchführen oder vor der lmsensors Installation sensors-detect in der Konsole ausführen ?

Ich kenne das Prog/tool nicht, vermute aber, daß das alles in der HOWTO oder README oder ähnlichem beschrieben ist.

Außerdem gibt es hier auch eine Suchfunktion: :blume2:

Den Thread habe ich auch gelesen.

Es ist aber die Frage, ob ich bei meiner Kernel Version überhaupt lmsensors brauche.

Sieht so aus, als könnte das niemand so 100%ig sagen.

"Most bus drivers have been ported to kernel 2.6; however, only 53% of the chip drivers have been ported"

Naja - des weiteren werden ja keine speziellen Board supportet, sondern immer nur spezielle Chips.
Also musst du mit sensors-detect schauen, welche Chips auf deinem Board verbaut sind. Dann kannst du auf der lm-sensors Homepage schauen, ob die Chips unterstützt werden.

Bei der Frage, ob du lm-sensors brauchst oder nicht, kan ich dir nicht helfen.

Hier mal meine sensors-detect Ausgabe:

This program will help you determine which I2C/SMBus modules you need to
load to use lm_sensors most effectively. You need to have i2c and
lm_sensors installed before running this program.
Also, you need to be `root', or at least have access to the /dev/i2c-*
files, for most things.
If you have patched your kernel and have some drivers built in, you can
safely answer NO if asked to load some modules. In this case, things may
seem a bit confusing, but they will still work.

It is generally safe and recommended to accept the default answers to all
questions, unless you know what you're doing.

We can start with probing for (PCI) I2C or SMBus adapters.
You do not need any special privileges for this.

Naja - zu dem Eintrag hab ich nur das hier zu bieten:

The (VID error) indicates a probable mismatch between lm_sensors version and
kernel version. See here: http://secure.netroedge.com/~lm78/kernel26.html
(about halfway down) That could be *a* problem, but that's not the whole
problem.

Wahrscheinlich nicht so wild. Hab lm-sensors nicht laufen, aber evtl. kannste in der *.conf noch was auskommentieren.
Denke mal, dass du die Infos angezeigt bekommst, di du haben willst.
